NEW MUSIC: Westside Gunn “ZILLA”

**“ZILLA”** is a new Westside Gunn single that dropped. Produced by Denny Laflare, it previews his upcoming album *FLYGOD is an Awesome God 3,* Gunn described the project as “all GRIMEY, DUSTY, SOULFUL, JAZZ INSPIRED mixed with FLYEST SHIT U EVER HEARD IN YA LIFE,” with an announcement coming soon. The track has the usual Westside Gunn ingredients: grimy, dusty production, gritty street bars, and his distinctive vocal style. Reviewers called it familiar Griselda/Flygod energy that still feels fresh. The title likely nods to wrestler Zilla Fatu (involved with Gunn’s Fourth Rope promotion) as well as the monster/Godzilla energy that fits his aesthetic. The drop also lines up with his Saucony Grid Jazz 9 “Awesome God” collab releasing August 28 (Westside Gunn Day in Buffalo).
