“For The Gig” is a brand-new single by hip-hop legends DJ Premier and The Alchemist, banger where both producers step to the mic (Alchemist with a full verse, Preemo on the intro/chorus and scratches). The Alchemist produced the track, with DJ Premier handling drums and cuts. The song is a straight love letter to hip-hop performance energy – live crowds, turntables, sampling, and that “we’re here for the gig” grind.
