NEW MUSIC: Westside Gunn “ZILLA”
It was initially framed as a preview for the long-teased FLYGOD is an Awesome God 3. He described recording sessions at the Eiffel Tower, the Acropolis in Athens, the Saucony office, Berlin, and Chicago. He said he was set to drop Awesome God 3 (which he’d previously called his last solo album) but pivoted after seeing Mass Appeal’s Legend series. He calls the new music “grimey, dusty, raw, mixed w/ jazz but it sounds like gospel.”
He pivoted to HEELMATIC after seeing Mass Appeal’s Legend series, saying he was inspired to make a new tape “for the culture.” He kept the project secret while recording it. No full tracklist or feature list has been released yet the announcement is brand new. More details are expected closer to the November 13 drop. PRE SAVE NOW !!!!!!!!! wsg.lnk.to/heel
