NEW ALBUM: Cory Gunz “96 Era”

*96 Era* is Cory Gunz’s new independent project on Militia Entertainment. It landed today, originally called it a tape). The title points to the mid-’90s East Coast golden era. 1996 was a landmark year for lyric-driven albums (Jay-Z’s *Reasonable Doubt*, Nas’s *It Was Written*, The Fugees’ *The Score*, and others), and the project is built in that lane: boom-bap beats and dense, technical Bronx rapping rather than the more melodic or trap-leaning material he’s also released. *96 Era* is an 8-song project with features that include OT The Real and Shaquille O’Neal.

I launched my Blog site in 2010, inspired by platforms like Complex Networks, Nigel D's RealTalkNY, NahRight, MissInfo.tv, Elliott Wilson, and Brian "B.Dot" Miller. (Rap Radar) It started as a passion project -sharing hip-hop videos, music, interviews, and more, just for the love of the culture. Fast forward to today, I'm still at it, driven by the thrill of discovering fresh, unique hip-hop and cultural moments to share with others. My goal? To help people uncover some real dope content. - Yaosoner View all posts by YaosoneR
