NEW ALBUM: Tinashe “Popstar”

Popstar is Tinashe’s eighth studio album,It is the longest and most expansive chapter in the trilogy that began with BB/Ang3l (2023) and continued with Quantum Baby (2024). The 16-track project runs 39 minutes and features no guest appearances. Tinashe described it as a playful, genre-fluid exploration of what it means to be a pop star claiming space after years of independent releases and viral moments like “Nasty.” Key producers include Zack Sekoff , Kimj, Couros, Ricky Reed, Arca, Machinedrum, and Andrew Wells. Tinashe co-wrote every track. The sound moves between hyperpop, R&B, dance, trap, jazz-tinged moments, and intimate ballads. Reviews out today have been strongly positive, highlighting its confidence, sequencing, and refusal to pick one lane.
