No Rest for The Wicked (also styled N.R.F.T.W.) is AZ Chike’s major-label debut album, The 14-track, 40-minute project is the Los Angeles rapper’s seventh overall studio album and follows the surge in attention he received from his verse on Kendrick Lamar’s “peekaboo” from GNX (2024). It features Tyler, The Creator twice and JMSN once, with production from Pharrell Williams, Terrace Martin, Sounwave, Hit-Boy, Tyler himself, and others. The album leans into the aftermath of that visibility: family financial obligations (“the Black tax”), insomnia, therapy, money management after a major deal, and the pressure of living up to a high-profile verse.
