T.l’s long-teased retirement album – the
“King of the South” officially hanging up his crown after a legendary career.
The title comes from chess: the goal is to kill the king. T.l. has said it puts a “bullseye” on him and reflects the pressure that comes with the throne. T.l. first announced this would be his last album years ago. He’s said he’s achieved everything he prayed for as a kid and wants to focus on family, film/TV, real estate, and other ventures (while still possibly doing features or soundtracks). The project feels like a victory lap mixed with reflection, trap energy, and star power. production from Pharrell Williams, Dr.
