NEW Album: Jack Harlow “Monica”

Monica is the fourth studio album by American rapper and artist Jack Harlow. This marks his first full project in over three years since Jackman. (2023), following a deliberate hiatus where he aimed to evolve his sound and
“transcend” his previous style. He recorded much of it in New York City at the iconic Electric Lady Studios after relocating from Kentucky. The album leans into soulful R&B, jazz-tinged, and crooner vibes-warm, introspective, and sultry, with no rapping on the tracks (or at least a rap-free approach in many reviews). It’s channeling influences like D’Angelo’s Voodoo, featuring laid-back grooves, confessional lyrics, and a cleaner, expletive-free presentation.
Themes appear to focus on relationships, longing, independence (especially regarding women who’ve “moved on”), and personal growth.
Guest appearances include artists like Mustafa, Ravyn Lenae, and Omar Apollo.
