The Romantic is the fourth solo studio album by Bruno Mars, It’s his first solo album in a decade, following 24K Magic (2016), and comes after the 2021 collaborative project An Evening with Silk Sonic with Anderson Paak. The album focuses on themes of dancing and romance, drawing heavily from 1970s soul, Philly soul, quiet storm, doo-wop influences, and elements of Chicano soul/lowrider culture. It’s a concise project with 9 tracks, clocking in at around 31 minutes, featuring warm analog production, strong vocals, brass, and groovy rhythms-co-produced notably with D’Mile.
