Icon is the third studio album by R&B singer-songwriter Brent Faiyaz. This project follows his 2023 mixtape Larger Than Life and his 2022 album Wasteland. Executive produced by legendary soul musician Raphael Saadia, Icon features production from contributors like dpat, Benny Blanco, Chad Hugo (of The Neptunes), Tommy Richman, and others, with mastering by Mike Dean. It’s a concise, sultry R&B record blending dreamy, vintage-inspired sounds with modern touches-described in reviews as emotionally direct, musically adventurous, and ambitious (with an orchestral intro setting a bold tone). The album runs about 33-34 minutes across 10 tracks.
