The Chef Raekwon releases a new project titled “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, fresh new collection of Wu-Tang Lessons. Via Mass Appeal as part of their “Legend Has It…” series, celebrating New York hip-hop pioneers. It’s his first solo project since 2017’s The Wild and features a stacked lineup of collaborators, including Wu-Tang Clan members Ghostface Killah, Method Man, and Inspectah Deck, as well as Nas, Griselda’s Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, Benny The Butcher, and singers Stacy Barthe and Marsha Ambrosius. Production is handled by Swizz Beatz, Nottz, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, The album’s title, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s tale, reflects themes of authenticity and truth over trends, with Raekwon emphasizing “TRUTH OVER TRENDS” in his Instagram post.
