Never a disappointment when these two deliver a project V Don always provides insane production, Willie The Kid will no doubt deliver some bars . Another project with 12 tracks total with no wasted space filled songs. Features including Flee Lord, Ransom, Tyrone The Dale, ANKHLEJOHN, Baby Maine, WhoisBravy, and Hobx.
Flee Lord x Crisis “2-3 Zone

Yeah this on was really incredible for me, came early top of the year too, Flee Lord x producer Crisis. Gave us a gem 💎 titled “2-3 Zone” 13 piece track set list. Beats was on some mid 90’s underground type feel. Flee with the album arrangement, and flow delivery this time around. Really enjoyed it.. features included Bun B, 38 Spec, Conway the Machine, Eto and more.
RIGZ: “HEAL IN”

released a project, titled “Heal IN” he had been privately dealing with, and recovering with voice loss issues. Rigz delivered a really solid project. Features were included Jai Black, Rob Gates, M.A.V. , and Mooch.
CONWAY THE MACHINE “Won’t HE DO IT”

Griselda’s front runner The Machine Conway stepped out on his own putting his new label on his back Drumwork records. These dudes always deliver the grimiest music, straight slaughter type of bars, and beats are always something different. He gave us 14 blessings on this album. Features included WestsideGunn, Ransom, Ssuce Walker, Goosebytheway, Jae Skeese, Fabolous, Benny The Butcher, and 7xvethegenius.
Statik Selektah: “Round Trip”

Yeah, STATIK Selektah did this with this Project “Round Trip” heavy on the features with some underground champions. 20 tracks total with features that included Ransom, AZ, Benny The Butcher, Stove God Cooks, Inspectah Deck, Conway The Machine, Joey Bada§$, Millyz, M.O.P., Cormega, Elzhi, Boldy James, Nems, Tha God Fahim, Marco Plus, IDK, Termanology, Ghostface KILLAH, Method MaN, Reakwon, and more. Project is really dope…
Boldy James x ChanHays “Prisoner of Circumstance”

Boldy James, and producer ChanHays deliver a really solid 7 track Ep. No features. “Prisoner of Circumstance” seems to be a good body of soulful sample tracks with that hand to hand rap Mr 227 pitches.
Summer Walker : “CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE EP”

This is my personal favorite album of the year2023. Learned about her pretty late summer of 2019. But this is the best body of work I’ve ever heard from her. The beat selection and the way she put the songs together was incredible to me. Really soulful shit, enjoyed this album still on repeat regularly. Nine tracks total with features that include J.cole, and Childish Gambino.
Larry June x The Alchemist: “The Greatest Escape “

2nd favorite project of the year. Wasn’t expecting it honestly but these boys came through with some real playa vibes. 🍊🧪 Good Job Larry and ALC delivering some serious IZm…. New 15 piece track set list from Larry June & The Alchemist titled The Great Escape”. Features include Slum Village, Boldy James,Wiz Khalifa, Action Bronson, Jay Worthy,Ty Dollar $ign, Big Sean, Evidence, and Joey Bada$$. All beats provided by ALC so buckle up.
Drake : “FOR ALL THE DOGS/ “Scary Hours 3”


2023 most highly anticipated album arrived October 6th 2023. Drake delivered the album “FOR ALL THE DOGS” 23 track listing, with features that include j.cole, SZA, Lil Yachty, PARTYNEXTDOOR,Sexy Red,Chief Keef, Yeat, Snoop Dogg, and Bad Bunny. Although the album received a lot of backlash saying it wasn’t good. I really enjoyed the project not sure what had fans so upset it sounds exactly like the last six projects before this one. Drake ran it back with the Scary Hours 3 Deluxe adding 6 new songs which he went crazy on, and the production and rhymes was top notch. Shit was incredibly dope for me.
Nick Grant : “Sunday Dinner”

Yeah this here project was super cold. Heard Mal from the Rory & Mal podcast recommend this project. Nick Grant delivers his latest offering “Sunday Dinner”. 16 track set list with features that include Ransom, Tweet, and Uncle Chucc. Really good….
DOJA Cat : “ Scarlet “

This Women can really ,really rap good. Thought it was gonna be kinda weird, but nahh man she got busy… highly anticipated project “Scarlet” 17 track total set list with no features.
Dj Muggs: “Soul Assassins 3: Death Valley”

Another Royal Rumble type of album event. This project is something serious. DJ Muggs presenting his Volume 3 of his “SOUL Assassins” series titled “DEATH Valley”. 19 track set listing, with features that include some heavy weights such as B-Real, Ice Cube, Mc Ren, Method Man, WestsideGunn, Slick Rick, Roc Marciano, Rome Streetz,Evidence, Domo Genesis Jay Worthy, Boldy James, Scarface,Ghostface KILLAH, Cee Lo Green, 2 Eleven, T.F Mista Cartoon, and more.
The Alchemist: “ Flying High 1& 2”


The Alchemist blessed us with a new 4 track EP. Bro always show up right on time. “Flying High” includes features from some of the underground favorites, Larry June, Jay Worthy, Earl Sweatshirt, T.F, Boldy James Billy Woods, Mike, And Slideshow… The Follow up Album by The Alchemist for “Flying High 2” 5 piece project with features that include Conway The Machine, Action Bronson, Gangrene, and Curren$y. Instrumentals on the back end..
Rick Ross x Meek Mill: “Too Good To Be True”

This album was pretty good also. Arrived late in the year, but they came with it. Rick Ross & Meek Mill titled “Too Good To Be True” I wished they titled it “William Roberts Robert Williams” but hey maybe next time around. The Beats provided and raps was pretty dope, Meek Mill really slaughtered this project to me tho..
17 total tracks with features that include Jeremih, French Montana, The -Dream, Tey Ana Taylor, Dj Khaled, Vory, Fabolous,Cool & Dre, Shaquille O’Neal, D as me D.O.L.L.A. And more.
Mick Jenkins: “The Patience”

Chicago Illinois representative Mick Jenkins dropped a really good gem 💎 for the culture this year. I learned about it later in the year but I’m glad I caught wind of it. Not to sure what had me so distracted this past summer, but I’m trying to get back on course. “The Patience”. 11 tracks total with features that included some nice spitfire type dude’s. Vic Mensa,JID, Benny The Butcher, and Freddie Gibbs. Album dropped on August 18th 2023, can’t believe I missed this one🤦🏾. Really solid project..
